| Swedish Environmental Protection Agency as partner from public sector |

To slow the accelerating greenhouse effect, the general public must be informed about the climate issue and the measures that are required to stop its development. Individuals have an important role in influencing states and companies to make sensible decisions that can reduce the growth of the greenhouse effect and to adapt society to the beginnings of climate change we have already seen examples of.
In 2002 and 2003, Swedish Environmental Protection Agency was given the responsibility to carry out a parliamentary mandate to educate the Swedish public about the causes and consequences of the greenhouse effect. The assignment was called ”The Climate Campaign”.
Lars-Erik Liljelund, General Director at the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency welcome the initiative:
”ClimateAid will pick up where The Climate Campaign left off. We see ClimateAid bridging the gap between state and business to increase awareness and commitment in both the general public and the corporate sector. The project has an important role as a unifying voice in the climate arena. For these reasons, the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency stands behind ClimateAid and actively supports the project with our expertise on climate issues.”
